When Ni-Cd is the right chemistry
Typically a fit
- Emergency lighting and safety systems that specify Ni-Cd
- High-temperature or long-float industrial backup
- Existing Ni-Cd pack geometries (SC, C, D and related sizes)
Usually not a fit
- Consumer retail AA replacement (we do not target that SERP)
- Projects that must be cadmium-free — see NiMH or LiFePO4
- High-energy compact devices better served by NCM cylindrical cells
Supply range
Public catalog currently includes industrial Ni-Cd cells in sizes such as 2/3AA, AA, 4/5A, SC, C and D, including high-temperature variants. Exact capacity, temperature rating and charge method are confirmed per model during engineering review.

Ni-Cd versus NiMH
Keep Ni-Cd when the specification, charger and thermal environment already assume nickel-cadmium, especially high-temperature emergency lighting. Move to NiMH when the OEM needs a cadmium-free portable cell and does not require Ni-Cd float/high-temp behavior. This is a design review, not a retail swap.
Customization and documents
Pack assembly, tabs, leads and labels are reviewed per project. Documents such as UN38.3, MSDS, CE and RoHS can be provided for review on qualifying projects. We do not publish a fixed response-time or sample-lead promise on this page.
